Top UC San Diego Bioengineering Graduate Students Receive Awards From Siebel Foundation

As breakthrough discoveries in bioengineering become more crucial to fundamental global issues, including health, food production and water supplies, UC San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering’s top ranked bioengineering department continues to be on the cutting edge of this field. The Siebel Foundation has recognized the Jacob School’s pioneering efforts with a $2 million endowment to fund fellowships for some of its top bioengineering graduate students.

UK To Benefit From £250 Million To Create New Wave Of Scientists And Engineers

Its biggest ever investment in training the scientists and engineers Britain needs for the future was announced 5th December 2008 by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Science minister Lord Drayson will announce a £250million initiative which will create 40 new training centres across the UK and generate over 2000 PhD students.

The 10th Mountain Medicine And High Altitude Physiology Course At The National Mountain Centre In North Wales

December 5th-7th sees the 10th Mountain Medicine and High Altitude Physiology Course, set in the dramatic scenery of Plas Y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre in Capel Curig, Gwynedd, North Wales.
