New Year’s Air Quality Better Than Expected, Says Hawai’i State Department Of Health
The Hawai'i State Department of Health's (DOH) Clean Air Branch announced today that the air quality in Hawai'i on New Year's Eve did not exceed the national ambient air quality standard for particulate matter, despite elevated particulate levels as a result of fireworks. The DOH monitored Hawai'i's air quality during New Year's Eve at stations located in Honolulu, Pearl City, Kapolei, West Beach, and Kihei, Maui.
